There was some pretty interesting RPing going on back then. JI and I were the main characters, and we both had force powers (we were just starting to experiment at the time). We didn't get very far with it, though. I went away on holidays, and the forum was switched over.

There was also a big problem with spamming, mostly between JI and I, since we were on almost all the time over the summer :). And since we were the only two active moderators, there wasn't any one (except Evaders that is) to stop us.

I think the best time to be in the community, other than right now that is, as back when I first came in. Rev's page was the only one around, and there were actually new versions of RebEd comming out. We had to e-mail our cards to him to get them posted. It wasn't long after that the RebEd Card Guild was formed. It was around for quite a while, and had quite the collection of cards for such a small site.

There was a slump in members after Rev left, but it didn't last long.

History is on the move, Captain. Those who cannot keep up with it will be left behind, to watch from a distance. And those who stand in our way will not watch at all.

Nah, Scath did it in one month, with one of his hands tied on his back. 8)

(Ok, maybe I'm overexaggerating a bit )

which is on Friday, right ?:wink:

Wasn't the card guild on a separate site ?

If memory serves me right, the Card Guild did indeed evolve into SWR.com, though, as the_mask stated, it was at a different address. It was at a geocities address or some such.

Actually, for the life of me, I can't remember who the webmasters of the Card Guild were. As a matter of fact, other than Evaders, JediIgor, Stratus, and Conway (as well as my apprentice, who's name again escapes me) I can't remember who any of the community members were. Must be getting old  .

True! He doesn't have hands! A small pincer like device came out of his swiss knife-astromech body and typed ... and typed... and kept typing, until his battery ran out, that's why he has these lapses in which he "disappears".

To be more precise:

I joined 24 February 2003. I reached 1,000 posts in less than two months (as Trej was kind enough to point out then) and reached 2,000 posts on 12 June 2003. So, that's in roughly 3 months and 20 days... I reached 3,000 posts on 12 May 2004, exactly 11 months later...

I'm still meditating on:

    1. A nice term in which to reach 4,000
    2. A surprising way to beat Trej to 5,000

:twisted::twisted: :twisted:

11,91 posts a day. Did you actually achieve the exploit of posting 100 in a week i can't remember. But I do remember you had taken on the challenge.

Yes  . I've actually done it twice. I wasn't a general for even a week before I was promoted to admiral. I think it was because of Scath an my's debate.

So that means you weren't even spamming! Very good, Thrawn! I miss our debate a little... :( i kind of liked it... I'm hoping that someone will come up with an interesting topic before long! :D

It was fun, but I was neglecting the other aspects of my onine life. Between work and our debate, I didn't have time to play my MMORPG or even Warlords! I don't know what I would have done if we had allowed it to streatch out to the release date of Battlefront. I think the only things I'll allow to disturb my playing of that game are school and the DVD release ofthe trillogy!
