I've been looking for a copy of Dark Forces, but I can't seem to find it. there are still a few places I can check, but I havne't had time yet.

I downloaded it, but I couldn't get the sound to work. My last resort is to borrow my friend's copy and burn it.

Those games will be even more troublesom to get than DF. I don't even know who the publisher was, and even if I could find out who, they probably don't sell them any more. You'll have to check somewhere that trades games in, or yard sales.

To answer your question Mad, it is $15.00 a month. Now about how the 'joining the military' it works a little differant. Let me just take it from the beginning:

When you first start your alignment or faction is neutral. As you progress through the game and decide what faction Rebel or Imperial you can begin to earn faction points for that faction or simply stay neutral. When you have earned the respected number (200) of faction points by doing missions that favor the side you can join.

When you join the faction of your desire, you can begin to earn rank, faction appropriate items and such. These are purchased using faction points aswell. So, yes you can have a full suit of Stormtrooper armor, but you never actually be a Stormtrooper.

Wow, I didn't know that. Like I said, I only played it for 7 days. It's very lonely starting a game when you don't know any one... if you decide to get it Mad I'll look into getting it too.

I am happy. I have just managed to buy Dark Force, Rebel Assualt and X-Wing for 5 dollars on Priceminister (a kinda french version of ebay). I now have to wait for the guy to send me the games. :D

Grats on that Mad. I'm thinking of getting TIE FIghter, if only to experience the Thrawn sub-plot.

Hm... If you're running XP you will have problems with Rebel Assault, it won't run, not even in Compatibility mode, also the game does not recognize USB gamepads/joysticks.

X-Wing Collector's CD (Win 95 Edition)(you know it's this one if it includes a demos of X-Wing vs. TIE) should play correctly in any Windows platform, and Dark Force may or may not have problems with XP...

Thrawn, TIE is a great game you'll enjoy it, though the sub-plot is kinda screwed up...

I just noticed that there's a game missing from this list: Where's Yoda Stories!!! :!::?:

You know, I don't think LucasArts lists Yoda Stories on their site.

If you're running XP, Mad, or have a newer sound card, you may have trouble getting the sound to work on Dark Forces. Unless you have a Sound Blaster, there's just no support for odd brands.

Yoda Stories - I always wanted that game, though I've never seen it in Australia

I really liked the demo, I thought it was a great desktop game - well, the demo at least.

No, it doesn't seem to be on the website anymore, although you can still get an update patch for it through support.

Emulators are perfectly legal, but the games you get for them are not, unless you own an actual copy of it.
