It would have been taken over by the Navy, like the Remnant. There would have been a military council and all of the beurocrats would be gone. It would have been more efficient.

Ther ewould be chaos, but in the end I don't think that the New Republic would have formed. The new Regime may have been better than the old, and the Rebels may have just given up.

The only thing the rebels didn't like was the oppression. I think that without the Emperor the Empire would have been able to make sufficient concessions to call a truce.

I admit that there would be many in the command structure who would probably oppose equal rights for aliens, but they might be outnumbered. There's really no way to tell.

Thrawn is right, the EMpire lost most of its best officers and troopers during the battle. And most of them were actually aboard the Executor when it was destroyed.

The Executor may still ahve been lost, but wit hthe Death Star's shields still up all of the officers aboard her would still be there. If you think about it, the Rebels massacred around 500,000 people. They could have disabled the Death Star somehow, but they chose to destroy it.

Well if the rebels saw that they could not destory the shield, and they were outnumbered they would have jetted out of there. Even if the capital ships were not as effective without the emperor, there was still the death star superlaser.

I would say they would have tried again, to destory the death star in some inside sneak attack with espianage people or something.

Probably, but I think that the Rebel fleet would have been greatly diminished after the battle. The only reason they came out on top in the end was because a large portion of the Imperial fleet was thrown into chaos and taken out in the following attack by the well-organized rebel fleet. The Death Star may have been destroyed later, but the rebels would have been too weak to take advantage of it.

True, I would say that both factions would have been demoralized. The imps with palpatine and the rebels with lack of equitment. I would say they would have waited awhile then we would have seen the final strokes of each faction in another climatic battle. The the empire would triumph because of superior numbers. (and because Thrawn would be there).

Yes, they would probably bring Thrawn back in from the outer rim. I wonder what the galaxy would be like with a no-Palpatine Empire. What would happen when the clone Emperor came back?

I am not sure. But I do keep wandering to why Thrawn did not have a few more clones made and have a Tharwn on all of his fleets. That way they were all essentially stronger. And if he sent them to different areas then they could create havoc across the galaxy and spread the New republics forces thin.

he was probably worried about a power struggler between him and his clones. Also, having more than one of him would make it easier for the New Republic to infiltrate areas with agents disguised as him.
