The Vindicator Heavy Cruiser is a Vindicator-class heavy cruiser built by Rendili StarDrive and flown by the Galactic Empire as a balanced, well-armed warship in its main battle fleet.

Vindicator Heavy Cruiser is a ship in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the game slot that the original game gives to the Strike Cruiser, and has that slot's costs and stats.

History

Mainly the Galactic Empire used these cruisers, and they formed a central part of its powerful fleet. Vindicators were noted for balancing weapons, speed and protection, which let it serve flexibly across many combat situations. Imperial commanders often sent them into important battles with the Rebel Alliance, particularly once the Death Star had been destroyed. Their place in the Imperial fleet reflected how much the Empire depended on balanced, well-armed ships to keep its hold on the galaxy.

In the game

The patch gives the slot a new name and identity but keeps its stats: a field-by-field comparison with the original game data finds no differences. Everything in the Strike Cruiser article's stats applies here too.
