MC30c Frigate

The MC30c Frigate is a Mon Calamari frigate built by Mon Calamari Shipyards and used by the Rebel Alliance for fast strikes against larger Imperial warships.

MC30c Frigate is a ship in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the game slot that the original game gives to the CC-9600 Frigate, and has that slot's costs and stats.

History

The Rebel Alliance used this frigate class above all, and it is remembered for its part in numerous naval clashes with the Galactic Empire. Strong shields and heavy punch, chiefly torpedoes and missiles, equipped the MC30c for hit-and-run attacks, which proved very effective against bigger Imperial warships. This mix of flexibility and striking power made it a key part of the Rebel fleet, and especially so after the Death Star's loss, when quick, nimble and hard-hitting ships grew ever more necessary to the asymmetric tactics the Rebellion employed.

In the game

The patch gives the slot a new name and identity but keeps its stats: a field-by-field comparison with the original game data finds no differences. Everything in the CC-9600 Frigate article's stats applies here too.
