Imperial II Star Destroyer

From Star Wars: Rebellion Wiki Original 1.02 & 25th Anniversary

Imperial II Star Destroyer is an Imperial capital ship in Star Wars: Rebellion. The in-game encyclopedia describes it as an upgraded Imperial Star Destroyer. It has a heavily reinforced hull, plus more powerful heavy turbolaser batteries and cannons.

In the game

The Imperial II Star Destroyer costs 158 refined material to build and 99 to maintain. It has a fighter capacity of 6 and a troop capacity of 3. Its shield strength is 800.

The infobox values come from the game's data file. Ratings such as hyperdrive and maneuverability are internal numbers that the manual does not explain, so they are best used to compare ships.

The manual's ship table gives the same capacity: 6 fighters and 3 troops.

25th Anniversary patch

The Imperial II Star Destroyer is an Imperial II-class Star Destroyer built by Kuat Drive Yards, the upgraded successor to the Imperial I and a standard capital ship of the Galactic Empire.

A major improvement on the original Imperial I-class, this Star Destroyer held an important position in the Imperial fleet. It carried stronger turbolasers and ion cannons plus better shields, which made it a daunting force wherever they fought. Imperial II ships became the Galactic Empire's standard capital ship, showing its dedication to military superiority and technical progress. After the Death Star was destroyed, these ships were crucial to suppressing the expanding Rebel Alliance, taking a leading part in major battles and sustaining Imperial rule. Their use represented the Empire's reaction to new threats and its tireless pursuit of control.
