Yaga Minor (25th Anniversary patch)

Yaga Minor is a temperate world of caves, forests and mountains, home to the native Yagai and to Humans. It is an industrial center producing refined metals and starship drive units.

Yaga Minor is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Adega.

History

Yaga Minor keeps its importance as an industrial and manufacturing hub. Its facilities turned out a range of materials and technologies, some of strategic value to the Galactic Empire, which therefore kept a strong garrison there to protect the production sites and guard sensitive projects. Despite the continuing conflict, the inhabitants endured, operating within a tangled network of political and military power so that their world stayed a key participant in the wider struggle between the Rebel Alliance and the Empire.

In the game

In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Mid Rim North sector; the original game calls it the Moddell sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
