Wellspring of Life is a temperate planet of deserts and jungles whose native inhabitants are midi-chlorians. It is tied to the origin of the Force and holds deep spiritual meaning.

Wellspring of Life is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Duros.

History

Wellspring of Life stayed a mysterious place that was mostly unexplored. Linked to the source of the Force, it carried deep spiritual meaning for those in tune with that power. Despite major events across the galaxy, the wider wars left it undisturbed. Cloaked in mystery, it kept its distinct role as a source of insight and understanding for the few who sought to grasp the Force's deeper nature, and it went on acting as a spiritual beacon during the turbulent age.

In the game

In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Deep Core sector; the original game calls it the Corellian sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
