Sy Myrth
Sy Myrth is a world inhabited by the native Sy Myrthians, known for a political system in which games decide who holds power. Little else is recorded about its terrain or trade.
Sy Myrth is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Bilbringi.
History
Sy Myrth is little touched by the war between the Empire and the Rebel Alliance. Its people carry on a distinctive form of democracy in which the results of competitive games decide who holds political power. The planet stays mostly neutral, though both the Empire and the Rebel Alliance press its government, each hoping to win it over. Sy Myrth nonetheless keeps its independence, attending to internal matters and preserving its unusual political customs.
In the game
In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Outer Rim East sector; the original game calls it the Farfin sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
