Sorgan

Sorgan is a remote, largely rural world of forests, meadows, swamps and wetlands settled by Humans, Klatooinians and Rodians, with an economy centered on spotchka production.

Sorgan is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Klatooine.

History

Sorgan stays a fairly peaceful, distant farming world. Its seclusion kept it from direct involvement in the fighting between the Empire and the Rebel Alliance. The residents, mostly small farmers, kept working the land and growing food for their communities. Lying at the edge of known space, Sorgan offered a valuable haven for people fleeing wartime upheaval. Its inhabitants were largely untouched by wider galactic events, yet knew of the conflict and how it might affect them.

In the game

In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Outer Rim South sector; the original game calls it the Dufilvan sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
