Sluis Van (25th Anniversary patch)
Sluis Van is a rocky industrial world inhabited by the native Sluissi along with Humans and Bith, and its economy revolves around building starships.
Sluis Van is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Toprawa.
History
Sluis Van keeps its status as a major shipyard and trading center. Thanks to long traditions of shipbuilding and engineering, the famed Sluis Sector went on giving crucial support to several factions, the Rebel Alliance among them. Despite the war between Empire and Alliance, the planet's location and skilled labor force kept it a hub for repairs, upgrades and construction of ships. Its government's neutrality kept facilities open to everyone, which strengthened its name as a leading force in the galaxy's industrial and technological fields.
In the game
In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Outer Rim South sector; the original game calls it the Dufilvan sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
