Sernpidal
Sernpidal is a world of deserts, ravines and seas in the Outer Rim North, home to native Sernpidalians and Humans, and a source of food, water, technology and metals.
Sernpidal is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Fedje.
History
Sernpidal carried on in relative obscurity. Being distant and modest, it drew little interest from the Empire or any other faction, and its people lived their daily lives mostly unaffected by the larger conflict. Its isolation offered some shelter from the upheaval elsewhere. After the Death Star was destroyed, assorted groups and individuals looked for refuge on little-known worlds like Sernpidal, valuing the anonymity and the distance from the Imperial-Rebel war.
In the game
In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Outer Rim North sector; the original game calls it the Atrivis sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
