Rishi (25th Anniversary patch)
Rishi is a hot world of mountains, swamps and jungle, home to the native Rishii along with Humans, Galandans, Twi'lek and Zabrak. It supplies exonium, food, fuel, technology, minerals, ores and missionaries.
Rishi is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Bakura.
History
Rishi is an important outpost on a key hyperspace route, so it has stayed strategically useful to several factions, including Imperial remnants and the rising Rebel Alliance. Being close to the Outer Rim Territories made it popular with smugglers, pirates and similar groups looking for shelter or for illegal business. Its importance caused occasional clashes and power struggles, but it kept its role as a major navigational waypoint for travelers in the region.
In the game
In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Bothan Space sector; the original game calls it the Orus sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
