Rattatak

Rattatak is a rugged planet of mountains, canyons and desert, home to native Rattataki, Vollicks and Trogodiles and many other peoples. Its economy centers on mercenaries and weapons.

Rattatak is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Lelmra.

History

Rattatak is a remote, isolated planet famous for brutal gladiator contests. Violence is part of its culture, and fighters train in arenas spread across the landscape. The population is split into many warring factions, with power struggles and clashes common. Though the war between the Empire and the Rebel Alliance had little effect on it, bounty hunters, mercenaries and outlaws were still drawn there, either to prove their worth in the unforgiving arenas or to escape the law.

In the game

In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Outer Rim West sector; the original game calls it the Churba sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
