Randon

From Star Wars: Rebellion Wiki 25th Anniversary patch

Randon is a temperate, heavily urbanized world inhabited by native Randoni alongside Bimm, Bothans, Lantillians, Lannik and Wookiees, known for its many spaceports.

Randon is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Anchoron.

History

Randon carried on as a hub of commerce and travel. It had many spaceports and busy cities, and the war between the Empire and the Rebel Alliance mostly passed it by, though both sides took an interest in its strategic position. Settlers, merchants and smugglers made up a mixed population with a cosmopolitan feel. Trade stayed its main concern, yet the effects of wider galactic events were still noticeable as the planet faced an unsure future.

In the game

In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Crossroads sector; the original game calls it the Mayagil sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
