Rakata Prime
Rakata Prime is a tropical world of oceans, islands and rocky outcroppings, home to the native Rakata. Its economy has involved slaves, treasures, warships, technology and manufactured goods.
Rakata Prime is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Talus.
History
The past of Rakata Prime is still obscure. It once lay at the heart of the ancient, powerful Infinite Empire, but had long stood in ruins. Archaeologists and treasure hunters, drawn by its enigmatic history, hoped to find lost technology or immensely powerful artifacts. The Infinite Empire's remains, including its advanced technology, kept fascinating scholars and explorers. While major galactic events happened elsewhere, Rakata Prime stood as proof of how much greatness and ruin are possible in the vastness of the galaxy.
In the game
In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Deep Core sector; the original game calls it the Corellian sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
