Polis Massa

Polis Massa is an asteroid field settled by the native Eellayin and the Kallidahin, best known as the site of a remote research and medical outpost.

Polis Massa is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Smarteel.

History

Polis Massa stayed a modest research outpost. Because it served as a medical facility and lay far from major routes, the conflict between the Empire and the Rebel Alliance caused it little disruption. Researchers kept studying the remains of an ancient civilization that had once lived in the area, uncovering knowledge of the past. The wider war did not directly touch the outpost, but its staff stayed alert for any threat or shift that could affect their work.

In the game

In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Western Reaches sector; the original game calls it the Kanchen sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
