Parnassos

Parnassos is a harsh, rugged world of cliffs, plateaus, black rock spires, caves, desert and oceans, populated by a mix of humans, Chadra-Fan, Dugs, Gands and Rodians.

Parnassos is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Kirrek.

History

Parnassos stayed a bleak, mostly forgotten world at the edge of charted space. Poor in resources and punishing in climate, it drew scant interest from the Empire or the Rebel Alliance. Its people kept enduring the difficult conditions by scavenging and improvising. They knew of the war between the Empire and the Rebellion but stayed detached from it, concentrating on the daily struggle to get by.

In the game

In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Unknown Regions sector; the original game calls it the Quelli sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
