Palanhi (25th Anniversary patch)

Palanhi is a planet of small oceans and volcanic islands in the northern Core Worlds, best known as a center of banking, finance and commerce.

Palanhi is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Chandrila.

History

Palanhi kept its standing as a hub of finance and trade. Its neutrality and secure banks let it keep prospering, with customers from both the Empire and the Rebel Alliance. Its stability owed much to a robust planetary defense and a powerful economy, which deterred either side from attacking. Palanhi's leaders took no direct part in the war between the Empire and the Rebellion, concentrating instead on the safety and wealth of their world as the galaxy grew more turbulent.

In the game

In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Core Worlds North sector; the original game calls it the Sesswenna sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
