Nexus Ortai

From Star Wars: Rebellion Wiki 25th Anniversary patch

Nexus Ortai is a planet about which almost nothing is recorded, with no listed species or economy, and its quiet, out-of-the-way character is its defining trait in the surviving accounts.

Nexus Ortai is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Tatooine.

History

Nexus Ortai's slight involvement in galactic affairs let it keep a low profile amid the disorder that followed the Empire's heavy defeat. It took no direct part in the fighting between the Rebel Alliance and the remnants of the Galactic Empire, and so stayed quiet and relatively stable. Though isolated, it offered shelter to those wishing to escape the wider turmoil, as well as a refuge for individuals carrying out secret or sensitive activities.

In the game

In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Bothan Space sector; the original game calls it the Orus sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
