Nal Hutta (25th Anniversary patch)
Nal Hutta is a hot, humid swamp world native to the Hutts. Its economy mixes contraband, spice, food, high technology, luxury goods and tourism.
Nal Hutta is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Engira.
History
Nal Hutta stayed a refuge for criminals and the seat of the Hutt Cartel. The Hutts' underworld empire was largely untouched by the wider galactic war, since its reach ran deep through the criminal world. In these years the Cartel pursued smuggling, gambling and slavery and made pacts with other criminal organizations. The planet's notoriety as a center of illegal trade increased, drawing bounty hunters, mercenaries and similar shady figures looking for shelter or work away from the fighting between the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance.
In the game
In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Hutt Space sector; the original game calls it the Jospro sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
