Mirial
Mirial is a cold, dry planet of deserts in the Sith Worlds region, inhabited solely by its native Mirialan people, and without any listed industry of note.
Mirial is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Kashyyyk.
History
Mirial is going through a time of guarded hope. The Empire had ruled the planet, but the destruction of the Death Star hinted at a possible change in the struggle. The Mirialans, noted for mysticism and spiritual customs, quietly backed the Rebel Alliance, offering help and refuge to people escaping Imperial repression. Although no major battles took place there, the population was a vital part of the hidden support network for the growing rebellion. The planet thus appeared as a calm and loyal friend in the opposition to the Empire.
In the game
In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Sith Worlds sector; the original game calls it the Sumitra sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
