Mimban
Mimban is a humid world of mud fields, rainforests and swamps, native to Greenies, Mimbanese and Coway as well as humans, with an economy in hyperbaride, food, industrial equipment, dolovite and swamp gas.
Mimban is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Bothawui.
History
Mimban's past was one of continuing conflict and unrest. The Empire kept a presence there in order to exploit the valuable resources in the planet's deep mines. Despite the grim conditions, locals opposed Imperial rule and joined various resistance groups against the regime. The struggle over Mimban turned it into a site of clashes between the Empire and the Rebel Alliance. Ordinary people suffered many hardships and losses amid the disorder, and the planet stayed a focus of the wider galactic conflict.
In the game
In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Inner Rim sector; the original game calls it the Sluis sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
