Maridun
Maridun is a temperate planet of open plains and savannas in the Sith Worlds region, native to the Amani and also home to Lurmen and Hutts.
Maridun is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Alk'lellish III.
History
Maridun stayed a calm, distant world. Known mainly for broad grasslands and varied terrain, it kept clear of the fighting between the Empire and the Rebel Alliance. Its residents, among them the gentle Lurmen and other peoples, concentrated on keeping their traditions and distinct culture alive. Their remoteness gave a degree of shelter from galactic upheaval, yet they stayed watchful, since the spreading war could reach even faraway worlds. In this era the planet was marked by a firm devotion to peace and neutrality.
In the game
In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Sith Worlds sector; the original game calls it the Sumitra sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
