Mandalore
Mandalore is a storm-swept world of crystals, glass and trinitite in Mandalorian Space, inhabited by native Alamites and Humans, and supplying raw materials, mercenaries and starships.
Mandalore is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to F'tral.
History
Mandalore went through political turmoil. The Mandalorians, long famed for their warrior culture, suffered internal strife as factions within their society competed for power and influence. With the Imperial-Rebel war under way, Mandalore's leaders tried to preserve the world's independence and stay out of the greater conflict. Nonetheless the planet's strategic and cultural importance made both sides target it, leading to skirmishes and clandestine actions across its territory. Its proud warrior tradition persisted and shaped its politics and the galactic balance of power. Concluding that they could never wholly dominate Mandalore, and fearing the Mandalorians might join other rebellious groups, the Empire bombarded the world until it yielded, in the event known as the Purge of Mandalore.
In the game
In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Mandalorian Space sector; the original game calls it the Calaron sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
