Karfeddion

Karfeddion is a planet with a mild temperate climate and farmland, inhabited by Humans, Balinaka and Ossans. Its economy is also described as industrial, with manufacturing at its heart.

Karfeddion is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Hoth.

History

Karfeddion stayed fairly obscure and kept out of the major fighting of the Galactic Civil War. An industrial world, it concentrated on manufacturing various goods. Its residents kept a low profile, trading with many systems while avoiding the struggle between the Empire and the Rebel Alliance. Despite wider upheaval, its industry kept prospering and supplied essential resources for the local economy. Throughout, the people showed resilience and adaptability and kept their manner of living intact through the galaxy-wide disorder.

In the game

In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Outer Rim West sector; the original game calls it the Churba sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
