Kamino
Kamino is a temperate ocean world inhabited by the native Kaminoans and by Humans. Its economy centers on food, clones, covert technology and military hardware.
Kamino is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Chazwa.
History
Kamino keeps its reputation as a center of cloning technology. The watery planet, home to highly skilled cloners, remained a hub of scientific progress and innovation. As the Galactic Civil War developed, demand for its cloning expertise continued and drew various factions eager to use its unusual capabilities. The Kaminoans used their deep knowledge and experience to move through the complicated politics, balancing their own interests against the wishes of the warring sides, and the world stayed a vital player in cloning technology.
In the game
In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Bothan Space sector; the original game calls it the Orus sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
