Ithor (25th Anniversary patch)
Ithor is a humid jungle world, home to the native Ithorians along with Bafforr and Vesuvague trees and Reeks. It supplies raw materials, technology, botanicals, food, medicine, rare goods and spices.
Ithor is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Norval II.
History
Ithor stayed famous for its verdant landscape and the close bond its people kept with the natural world. During the Galactic Civil War the peaceful Ithorians tried to stay out of the fighting. Their skill in farming, ecology and technology nonetheless interested both the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance. Though they aimed to remain neutral, pressure mounted on them to pick a side. Throughout the upheaval they worked to protect their distinctive culture and their attachment to their homeworld, hoping to keep peace and balance while war surrounded them.
In the game
In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Mandalorian Space sector; the original game calls it the Calaron sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
