Iego
Iego is a hot, humid world of tropical zones, basaltic spires, canyons and deserts. Diathim, Humans, Ithorians, Kajain'sa'Nikto, Quarren and Rodians live there, and its economy is built on spice.
Iego is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Taanab.
History
Iego lies far out on the galaxy's fringe, a remote and mysterious world. Dangerous space lanes lead most travelers and traders to steer clear. Legends surround it, including a rumored curse linked to the mythical Maelstrom, which have attracted adventurers and people hoping to escape the wars. During the Galactic Civil War it went on sheltering a mixed crowd of outlaws, exiles and other marginal figures, and its distinctive culture and history carried on despite its obscurity.
In the game
In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Outer Rim East sector; the original game calls it the Farfin sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
