Hosnian Prime

Hosnian Prime is a fully urban world inhabited mainly by Humans and Pantorans, covered in built-up cities and lacking any recorded economic specialty or distinctive natural landscape.

Hosnian Prime is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Carida.

History

Hosnian Prime started gaining prominence in the galaxy. In the closing years of the Galactic Republic it hosted a factory complex operated by Czerka Arms, an arms maker that used slave labor. When the Galactic Empire arose, Plas Lelkot, the surgeon consul of Hosnian Prime, sheltered refugees in his own chateau. For backing the Rebel Alliance he was jailed in the grim Ashmead's Lock prison on Kashyyyk.

In the game

In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Core Worlds South sector; the original game calls it the Fakir sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
