Fondor

From Star Wars: Rebellion Wiki 25th Anniversary patch

Fondor is a temperate planet of deserts, wasteland and urban sprawl, home to native Fondorians and many other species. It is known for its shipyards and manufactures starships, technology, machine parts, consumer goods and food.

Fondor is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Tralus.

History

Fondor, famed for its huge shipyards and industrial strength, changed considerably. As the struggle between the Empire and the rising Rebel Alliance grew, its strategic value rose, and the yards became vital for building and repairing military vessels. Local employment surged as demand grew for skilled workers, engineers and technicians. With the added resources and labor, Fondor turned into a center of technical invention, producing sophisticated starships, weapons and other technology. The activity brought prosperity but bound the planet more tightly into the galactic conflict, leaving a lasting mark on its history.

In the game

In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Deep Core sector; the original game calls it the Corellian sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
