Esseles

Esseles is a temperate, heavily urbanized ocean world inhabited by Bothans, Herglic and humans, with an economy built on high technology, starships, food and raw materials.

Esseles is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Ghorman.

History

Esseles is a world with a strong bureaucratic presence, and it was swept up in the recent shifts of power. Wanting to keep its hold, the Empire pushed harder for loyalty and order on key planets such as this one, adding security measures and trying to stamp out any dissent. The Rebel Alliance judged Esseles strategically valuable and set out to erode Imperial authority there. Tension ran under the surface: people appeared to comply while quietly resisting, and spies and covert operations shaped events as both sides competed for control of its future.

In the game

In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Core Worlds North sector; the original game calls it the Sesswenna sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
