Eriadu
Eriadu is a temperate world of jungles and mountains inhabited by Humans and Rodians, an industrial center that produces lommite and has produced a number of influential figures.
Eriadu is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Zebitrope IV.
History
As the Rebel Alliance gained momentum against the oppressive regime, Eriadu, noted for influential figures and industry, had to steer through a complicated political situation. The struggling regime tried to consolidate power and backing in key places, Eriadu among them, which meant a larger military presence and efforts to crush dissent. The Rebel Alliance saw the world's strategic value and sought to disrupt Imperial plans there. Eriadu thus became a setting for secret operations, spying and covert skirmishes between the sides. Without suffering large battles, its history in this period was one of intrigue and deception as its people coped with a quickly changing galaxy.
In the game
In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Outer Rim South sector; the original game calls it the Dufilvan sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
