Endor (25th Anniversary patch)
Endor is a temperate forest moon with savannas, mountains and plains, the native home of Duloks, Ewoks, Gorphs, Wisties and Yuzzums. It produces medicinal goods and food.
Endor is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Deyer.
History
Endor, an isolated and far-off moon, was mostly spared from the immediate consequences of recent events, since its secluded location kept it clear of much unrest elsewhere. Still, the broader consequences of that station's destruction were still noticed. With the Rebel Alliance growing stronger and the ruling regime trying to reassert itself, the value of even distant places such as Endor was reconsidered, and several factions weighed how significant such outlying regions might become in the struggle pitting the freedom fighters against the regime. Endor stayed largely peaceful after the Death Star's destruction, though the effects of the galactic conflict were bound to arrive eventually.
In the game
In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Outer Rim West sector; the original game calls it the Churba sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
