Devaron
Devaron is a temperate world of tropical jungles, deep valleys and low mountains, home to the native Deveronian people. Its economy rests on technology, consumer goods and entertainment, along with a wandering, travel-oriented culture.
Devaron is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Mrisst.
History
Devaron stays out of the spotlight and enjoys comparative calm. Its Devaronian inhabitants, famed as restless wanderers, adjusted to the shifting state of the galaxy, though their fierce independence did not keep them from being pulled into the struggle between the Empire and the Rebel Alliance. The world's ancient Jedi Temple of Eedit drew seekers of Force lore, both Jedi and Sith, and several clashes resulted. As the war intensified, Devaron kept its cultural heritage intact and a measure of self-rule.
In the game
In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Core Worlds South sector; the original game calls it the Fakir sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
