Csilla

Csilla is a frozen, ice-locked world that is the homeland of the Chiss, whose economy relies on trade in food, luxury goods, technology and information.

Csilla is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Varn.

History

The Chiss Ascendancy, which ruled Csilla and nearby systems, was a secretive and remote society that held to isolation and a policy of staying out of galactic matters. The Chiss knew of the war between the Rebel Alliance and the Empire but preferred to watch from a distance, putting the safety of their own territory first. As a result Csilla was mostly spared the upheaval that followed the decisive battle ending the period.

In the game

In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Unknown Regions sector; the original game calls it the Quelli sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
