Corellia (25th Anniversary patch)
Corellia is a temperate world of forests, jungles and oceans, with heavily industrialized urban areas. Humans, Drall and Selonians are native, and the economy covers starships, weaponry, luxury goods, raw materials, agricultural goods and alcohol.
Corellia is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Obroa-skai.
History
Corellia undergoes a major change in its political and social life. Birthplace of Han Solo and Wedge Antilles, it holds real weight in the galaxy. Though ruled by the Empire, local resistance cells step up their activity after the Rebel Alliance's successes. The Empire answers by bringing in more forces, which feeds further unrest and mounting tension. The strong-willed, independent Corellians grow more united against this harsh rule, and many factions appear, each contesting control of the star system's assets and its position. Even so, Corellia remains a key centre of shipbuilding and engineering, where skilled workers keep producing advanced technology.
In the game
In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Core Worlds South sector; the original game calls it the Fakir sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
