Chardaan

Chardaan is a planet inhabited by humans, with little recorded about its terrain or economy, located in the Inner Rim and drawing attention during the war between Empire and Rebellion.

Chardaan is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Bpfassh.

History

Chardaan drew heightened interest from both the Rebellion and the Galactic Empire. The Empire tried to impose control and put down dissent, while the Rebels wanted a foothold to resist Imperial oppression. The planet became a scene of political and military struggle, with many clashes and covert actions on its surface. The population split between supporters of the Empire and of the Rebellion, and the unrest led to the creation of local resistance cells, raising tensions further. The prolonged conflict deeply affected Chardaan's society and infrastructure and left a lasting mark on its people.

In the game

In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Inner Rim sector; the original game calls it the Sluis sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
