Bothawui (25th Anniversary patch)
Bothawui is a temperate world of plains, mountains, forests and cities, home to the native Bothans and to Humans. It is a center of high technology and information trade.
Bothawui is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Mantessa.
History
Bothawui gained greater significance in this period. As a leading intelligence center, the Bothan Spy Network gathered and spread vital information, and several factions sought alliances with the Bothans. Politics shifted as groups competed for control, and the world became a focus of diplomatic talks. Its advanced technology and communications network made it a key asset in the conflict, while espionage and subterfuge increased. The inhabitants found themselves in a delicate position, weighing their own interests against powerful allies. Security tightened, and the planet came to represent the shifting alliances and tensions of the galaxy.
In the game
In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Bothan Space sector; the original game calls it the Orus sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
