Borosk
Borosk is a Human-inhabited planet with few recorded details about its terrain or economy, though its position made it valuable to the powers contending for the surrounding region.
Borosk is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Khuiumin.
History
Borosk goes through serious upheaval. It became a battleground between the Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Empire and a strategically vital location for both. The Empire stationed troops and built bases and fortifications to hold its interests. The Rebels answered with covert operations that stirred uprisings among the locals, and the native population fought for autonomy, producing tense and unstable politics. The inhabitants proved resilient and adaptable, developing a growing unity and resistance to Imperial oppression, while the environment itself changed little.
In the game
In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Mid Rim North sector; the original game calls it the Moddell sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
