Bestine IV

Bestine IV is a temperate world of cliffs and wide oceans inhabited by Humans, Shahkirin and H'Kig, whose economy supplies raw materials and technical gear.

Bestine IV is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Bimmisaari.

History

Bestine IV went through major political and social change. Once firmly allied with the Galactic Empire, its population started doubting that allegiance, which produced unrest and a rebellious faction. Its strategic position drew both Imperial forces and the Rebel Alliance, and tensions rose. A struggle for power followed as each side tried to take control of the area. In the end the fight on Bestine IV formed a small yet important piece of the larger contest for control of the galaxy.

In the game

In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Core Worlds South sector; the original game calls it the Fakir sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
