Balmorra (25th Anniversary patch)
Balmorra is an industrial temperate world of canyons, plains, mountains and urban sprawl, populated by Colicoids, Humans, Hutts and Twi'leks, producing food, technology and weapons.
Balmorra is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Tangrene.
History
Balmorra saw a change in the balance of power. Its advanced arms industry drew the interest of both the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance. The Empire tried to take control and seize the planet's resources and technology, but the Balmorrans, prizing self-rule, pushed back. Local resisters teamed up with the Rebel Alliance in covert operations and skirmishes meant to keep the world out of Imperial hands. During these years the planet was a center of fighting and espionage as each side competed for its valuable assets.
In the game
In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Colonies sector; the original game calls it the Dolomar sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
