Darth Vader
Darth Vader, Dark Lord of the Sith, is one of the Empire's two major characters in Star Wars: Rebellion. The encyclopedia calls him the most visible symbol of the Empire: a dark Jedi, once taught by Obi-Wan Kenobi, who did most to wipe out the Jedi Knights. It also describes him as a brilliant tactician and fine starfighter pilot who does not forgive failure. The Alliance had hoped he died with the Death Star, but he is back, commanding one of the new Super Star Destroyers.
In the game
Vader has the highest possible combat and leadership values and can lead as an admiral, general or commander. His loyalty is fixed at the maximum and he cannot betray the Empire.
To win a standard game, the Alliance must capture and hold Vader along with Emperor Palpatine, as well as taking Coruscant.
The Force
Vader starts as the strongest Force user in the game. Unlike Luke Skywalker, he can detect hidden Imperial Force users from the very beginning, whenever he shares a system or ship with one. He can also take Force-aware Imperial characters on Jedi Training missions to raise their Force rank. A bombardment or assault on the training system aborts the mission.
Stats
The infobox shows Vader's values from the game's data file. They have no random variance, so they are the same in every game.
