I remember you were constructing an Arc-Hammer Mad78, what happened to it? Did you texture it? Why don't you post some pics so we can see it..

Well basically I got the textures ready for use with mask's new texturing technique but i never managed to make it work.

And the thing is i am work9ing on other stuff at the moment so i don't really have time for the Arc Hammer anymore.

But once i have finished the model i am working on at the moment i shall finish off the Arc Hammer.

We can never have enough models

At first, I couldn't manage to apply any textures, using Lithunwrap. I used Mask's tutorial, but the "assign" buton was never active. In the tutorial, Mask says the "select by faces" must be activated, but in my Lithunwrap, you have to press "select by group" in order for the "assign" button to be activated...

Ok, I uploaded my models on Graffiti.net, but how do I get links? Anyone can help?

Okay, i have at last got the motivation to do a bit of Rebellion modelling.

My next ship(s) will be inspired from Ep III.

i am starting with the Republic Venator-class Star Destroyer. Should have finished the modelling bit soon.

Just a quick few updates that I've been during in between studying for exams (you can see I've got my priorities ).

First is that Corellian Firgate thingy-ma-bob I designed a while back . . now it has some textures

Next is a pic I found ages ago when looking up reference pics for dropships (I wanted to design one, though never got past looking up images for it ). And the only working pic of it was the google thumbnails

Please note, this is the REALLY high poly count version with stupid bits of detail you'll never actually see in Rebellion . . . so the final will be significantly cut down from the 5500 polys (so there wont be any actual panelling done with models or any turrets) and with textures. I'll probably use this one for its card or something . . . actually, I might use it as the "close" model

I guess I should also mention that I'm using it as a replacement for the Bulk Transport - so it's a troops transport with a bit of weaponary for defence.

 

Once me exams are over I'll get my Majestic up and running and then work on all these other models I've started

It's Corellian so it would be very modular. I havn't made any stats for it yet - though it's going to be very robust and pack a mild, all round punch . . . unless there are any other suggestions

Here's my next model installment - the design is heavily based around the original art work (and in someways, I consider it art work - like a Picasso ) for the Defender class Star Destroyer. Not sure what was going through the designer's mind when he created most of the Cracken's Threat Dossier ship designs, especially when he created a Star Destroyer that looks like a cruiser.

Anyway, this is my end product . . . well almost end product - I've got a few more modelling things to do on the high detail model and textures, but that's all.

I'm calling it a Region class Cruiser, it's design will be physically strong, have a mainly defensive aresonal (40 tbs, 20 lasers and 20 ion - damage not calculated yet), speed that matches an ISD as well as 4 squadrons of fighters and 3 regiments of troops - the ships' role is primarily long range, independant patrol for the outer rim style of areas where the ship has enough resources to deal with most outpost planets and garrisons bleh, bleh, bleh.

Yeah, I'll save the rest for the ship's card

Any news on the Droid Control Ship or the Majestic

 

Well, the Majestic appears to work fine as a model, though I've been trying a higher poly version with it as well - though that model seems to have a lot more problems with Rebellions 3d Engine so I'll probably leave it with just the one level of detail model for now, though I'll play with the LOD models first.

The stats for the ship isn't going too smoothly, as I'm using official stats for all my ships and Rebellion . . . well, doesn't

it's firepower comes out a lot lower than expected when compared against ships in Rebellion, as well as the fact that Rebellion doesn't take accuracy into account. I'm tempted to use the real stats and create new cards (without pics) of the original ships, though with official stats.

Anyway, I'll need to find a place to host the model first - and I'll probably host it by itself without any card to start off . . . got to make the card after all
