September 1, 201214 yr Lavo, so if I just move the files from 1.04 back to 1.031 and somehow un-update the game, I should be golden?
September 2, 201214 yr Author Nah, stick with 1.04, the latest revision works with it. Sins of a Galactic Empire staff.
September 2, 201214 yr There has to be something else then that is messing with me because even after the update, I still can't get it to play a game. Goes to loading screen splash and then the loading bar doesn't move and the game freezes.
September 2, 201214 yr What parts of the mod are you using ? Waht are your system specs ? Just to let you know LAvo all my issues are sorted it was a previous version leaving files in the background that was causing problems with my previous install.
September 2, 201214 yr Using all parts. I have 4 gigs of RAM, AMD triple processor and using Windows 7 64-bit. I think I'll delete the other folder from the previous version of Rebellion.
September 2, 201214 yr Author Try launching just the CORE module and see if it runs. Sins of a Galactic Empire staff.
September 2, 201214 yr Still no luck. I'm good up until I try to play a game. EDIT: How large should my core file be in folder?
September 2, 201214 yr Author Including the SVN data, it should be 3.19-3.20 GB. Sins of a Galactic Empire staff.
September 2, 201214 yr So I went into Mods-Rebellion 1.04 and ran the properties of all the files after SVN Checkout. For some reason, I have a total of 4.56 GB. I believe that's a good indicator that I should reinstall the mod.
September 2, 201214 yr Author Yup, sounds like something went terribly wrong somewhere. Might I suggest updating your copy of TortoiseSVN before you do so? Sins of a Galactic Empire staff.
September 2, 201214 yr Okay when I used the checkout it said I had transfered in the neighborhood of 135 megabytes. What is going on? However, when I click on the folder it says that it is 2.83 GB. By the way, which timezone are you in?
September 3, 201214 yr Author That's odd... While the amount of data that it downloads is less then what the folder-size is after (there are hidden files filled with duplicates of data and such), 135 MB is small for the CORE module. I'd suggest running SVN Checkout again, you might have to do it multiple times. -5 GMT, aka. EST Sins of a Galactic Empire staff.
September 3, 201214 yr After reinstalling, I got a minidump. This is fixable though, so I don't feel bad about it. Yeah, I'm getting a mini dump error on start up.
November 27, 201213 yr finally picked up rebellion from steam yesterday. it auto installed itself to ver 1.1. after updating everything through tortoise it doesn't show the green check marks and even though the mod shows as 'activated' it still plays as normal rebellion with vanilla factions. tried to disable all the mods and re-enable them but now sins is crashing with a runtime error when trying to enable 'core.' tried svn cleanup as well.
November 27, 201213 yr SWR Staff - Executive Use the EnabledMods.txt file to enable things. If that doesn't work.. well... November 27, 201213 yr Author Did you rename your mods folder from Mods-Rebellion v1.041 to Mods-Rebellion v1.1? Remember that when the game auto-updates, the mod folder changes. SoGE is compatible with 1.1, I can guarantee you that much. Sins of a Galactic Empire staff.
November 27, 201213 yr was a clean install because I only purchased the game yesterday. I just noticed that 5 of the folders were named "Beta Ent" instead of "Beta Reb" so maybe that was it. I probably chose the wrong folders to begin with, my fault there. its just weird though because I was on the correct revision for Rebellion so the correct files were actually downloading, but the folder was incorrectly named. I threw everything out just to be safe and am redownloading, making sure the folder names are all correct this time. server is moving really slow right now ~56k speed. edit: all done now and working fine. November 27, 201213 yr SWR Staff - Executive The folders were changed for the Rebellion beta - but some of the instructions had not been updated. Unfortunately it means you need to checkout the correct folder, Beta Ent is only used for Entrenchment version (not actively maintained).
