Vader For Gamespot greatest Video Game Villain

Featured Replies

Video game villain? He's not even a half decent movie villain unless the Star Wars universe starts and ends solely within the confines of A New Hope. He's a total badass in ANH with no Emperor to show him up, but in tESB we see his boss and learn he's working an angle to get back in touch with his estranged son. He concocts an elaborate scheme that could contend with greatest of bond villains to lure Luke to cloud city, where Vader reveals himself as an evil gypsy conman looking to overthrow his boss with Luke's help. By the time RotJ has ended he's come full circle and redeemed himself, and then let's just forget even mentioning the prequels which took our beloved ANH badass and turned him forever into a whinny sissy brat boy.

While I do agree he is one of the coolest characters ever, greatest villan he is not. Boba Fett is more of a villian than vader ever was. The guy is probably the only being ever eaten by the Sarlac (sp?) and lives to tell about it without it drasticly effecting his attitude towards life the universe and everything. :)
