Ok, I need some links to some good quality pictures and information on the Empire's Dark Troopers as featured in the Original Dark Forces game (not the Dark Empire comic books). I did some internet searching and didn't get very far.

 

I especially need some pictures.

God damn it BoShek dude, I just ckickerty here expecting some excellent link to information and/or images. I'm seriously stumped in my own little mission to create a Dark Trooper Card; I can't find usuable images anywhere! Help!

I'm not sure, bro, but there may be some information at the STAR WARS Technical Commentaries over them...

Looking for pics on the net can be disappointing... Just the other day I made a funny experience... I was looking for pics of the Chariot LAV for a card, I typed it in google, lots of results popped up... I click at one of them and it has a pic and a text. I waited for the pic to load... To my suprise the image was an image taken out of Rebellion (Out of the Alliance Army Regiment)...Quite shocking... If you look for Noghri pics of REbellion will also pop up...

Cool Paul, but the official Star Wars site was my original first port of call and while there is an excellent image of a Dark Trooper (that I haven't seen before) you would have to a photoshop genius to do anything with the image; just down to the way it has been drawn.

 

This does beg a question, if Star Wars.com is commisioning artists for images in it's databank, does anyone know who is doing them,and if there is place higher resolution versions are stored.

Point taken. I never questioned your loyality on that one. For me Dark Forces has long been the best first person shooter I´ve played. Although my vote would probably go to TIE FIGHTER (asuming that voting for REBELLION is not an option). Now where´s that poll ?

What are the weird Stormies in JKIII? They wouldn't be Dark Troopers would they?

Huh, which ones, those flying around you in the later missions (Wedge for example ?) with the heavy repeater ?

 

No, I thought that as well, when I saw them the first time, but they are some special kind of stormtrooper, like the mysterious swamp trooper in JK2

And what about the one's in REALLY heavy armor even later in the game with the concussion rifles?

Ah, those with the Stouker rifle. Dunno exactly, they never got that close , but I think the armor looks a bit different.

Maybe I'll know after extracting the model, while I'm at it with the Noghri one.

Yeah, the Noghri were a bit dissapointing!

I think they were much closer to the original, than those in Mysteries of the Sith. Those were absolutely not Noghris.

Don't remember the ones from MOTS, i meant the little gray lithe things frrom the books that were more catlike, but wiry, muscles like taught cords, very short dark fur type thing!

Although the JK III model looks more like the images found in the comics and on some sites. If they were a bit smaller it would work.

Probably, apart from them being brown!

Their skin is gray and that fits.

Their overall makeup looks just like the pic, that Trej found for the Rukh card in the TC, so aside from their size I think they are pretty canon.
