Gameplay:  Under low expectations, Graphics:  Right at high expectations.

 

Once I realized this was a conglomeration of RTS minds I understood that they would foul up a great project and miss the strategy possibilities.  The graphics are up to par though.

As opposed to what? Starcraft, where the strategy is 'Build the uber unit in the uber build order the fastest'?

The graphics aren't that great by today's standards. Especially in land battles.

Compared to my expectations for strategy.  We ended up with 'build as many SSDs or MCs as fast as possible'.  I had hoped for more.  I had hope for exciting battles rather than winning because I'm the human player and the computer doesn't realize that it can't use it's SSDs' weapons if I'm behind them.  And the same map pops up every time you go to the same planet.  And why are there little asteroid clusters at every planet?  What kind of bull is that?  I look in the sky with my telescope and I sure don't see any asteroid clusters around Earth (or nebulae for that matter).

 

Here's a burning question:  Are PG devs Star Wars fans enough to have been able to make this game to a Star Wars fans expectations?

i don't know about the PG Dev's but i think Delphi might be able to answer that when he looks at it.

 

but i think that they game does live up to my expectation(which are really high) but i have to admit the REbels raid function is kind of annoying sometimes i'd like the imps to get that as well.

Depends on what you are looking for.

 

For example someone mentioned AOE:3 as having better graphics, better textures yes but better effects ie, explosions, i would say no.
