Well, I discovered some problems when you scale units down that much.  Among them, vegetation that is moved by the wind became extremely distorted.

i dont see why we have to make everything soo big.. we could easaly just scale everything down and have huuuge entire planets..

 

i mean right now at at's take up the whole screen :/

same with the artillery units.. i mean who knows if we can get maps big enough for them.. maybe if we scale down we can have 200x200 km maps

 

Except zoom limitations, plus the fact that flowers on the ground are already half the size of your stormtroopers, is reason enough to scale up, not down.
