Re: EAW Demo - Download Links Topic

Featured Replies

Terradyn, the demo was first released on a rate-limited gamespot server (i was getting 10kbs) that got hammered with requests and load, then the download.com link was found they are now switching to that ive gone from about 56kb/s to 36kb/s, as more and more people jump onto that server, still nothing from fileplanet, but generally fileplanet seem to update once a day

a bit, imn getting over 100k. THanks man, lets hope its actually the demo

I don't know how, I am getting less than 20k and I have 4Mbps available on my connection... :(

i have a 700mb connection via cable :-) but its now down to 50k so 3 hours, sucks but i guess best way to go. Im just so pissed that the delay the game, the demo, and then only release it to one server? WTF are they thinking, money, thats all they seem to care about. If the wanted us to be happy they would have released it too more compaies

i hope so i have a member at fileplanet, they also seem to have alot more servers since thats all the sites for.

If any of you surfing this website has the demo STICK IT ON TORRENT AND GIVE US THE LINK TO THE DOWNLOAD NOW. 10 hours geez and someone who doesn't need the demo keeps on getting on should be booted but sadly aint(My logic right now).
You're all lucky, at least you're getting it today or at least the minute you wake up tomorrow. Its 8pm here, I'll just have to hope the download is ready when I come from school tomorrow.

I have a Gamespot subscription... I'm getting speeds of 500-400 kb/s... Soooo... Yeah, I've got about 15 minutes left.

Rather than be a dick about it and just start playing while everyone else is stuck downloading at shatty speeds, could someone let me know how to upload this baby to a tracker for bittorrent use. Then, we'll post the link and I'll start sharing with my full bandwidth speed for a few hours, which is about 100-200kbps on a good day.

If I do this, I want people sharing though. I won't be able to play the demo while I'm uploading, because it will bog down my system. So, I swear to god if people start leeching and dropping, I'll give up and go be greedy. But I'd really prefer to get this out there and help the community start playing.

If anyone can PM me with bittorrent instructions, or contact me on MSN (dachande18@hotmail.com), feel free to do so. My download has about 10 minutes left.

turrents are good.

i just ment, who would be stupid enough to want to download it twice from download.com

ill be a blood sucking leech

The best one I've found is FileCloud...

There's a short wait but once it starts I'm getting well over 120k/s. I just started dl'ing at FilePlanet and it's moving well over 150k/s as well, but I had about an hour wait in line...

I'd be on the lookout at FileFront as well. They recently added the page for the Official Demo but no link yet. If you get in early, it could go fast...

Well I've decided to stick with my current download unless it stops, you'll never know what'll happen if you change the server. I'm at 9% with the speed being 13.1 kb per second and I'm sticking with it. At least I'll be able to play it tomorrow evening.
